Thursday 26th January from 9.15am-10.30am

We are hosting our SEND Group as part of the Autism in Schools Project on Thursday morning. Open to all families who have a child with Autism or who are on the pathway or awaiting assessment.

Open discussion with families, and to understand wider service offers, and a chance to meet members of PODS Team.

Voting in Person at Local Elections on 4th May - Everyone Will Need Photo ID

Local elections are on 4 May in Telford & Wrekin. New government legislation means you will need to show PHOTO ID to vote at a polling station.

If you don't have accepted photo ID, you can now apply for a free voter ID document, which is known as a Voter Authority Certificate.

PODS Befriending Scheme Recruitment Event

Are you the Parent Carer of a child or young person with a special need or disability? Do you have some spare time to spend listening and supporting other parent carers on a 1:1 basis? 

Then why not come and join us for our Befriending Scheme Recruitment Event, where you can find out more about being a Befriender, the Befriending Scheme and the support we offer.

An Opportunity to Advertise in PODS Annual Newsletter

Do you run a dance class, group or business associated with or for the benefit the SEN community?

Would you like the opportunity to advertise to a targeted audience?

This year for the first time we are offering the opportunity for local organisations to advertise in our annual newsletter which is sent out to over 1000 families plus schools, various organisations and providers.

Prices start from as little as £100 for half a page in full colour.

Join us at our friendly Family group, a chance to catch up on updates, discuss services and access non-judgemental peer support with fellow parent carers.

Friday 27th January 2023 from 10am-12pm at Blists Hill Victorian Town, Telford, TF7 5UD

Come and join us at PODS Family Group in Blists Hill Victorian Town for a chat, relax  and meet with friendly faces. Ask us for some advice or just enjoy a walk around the village. Please note a facemask is required in some parts of the village. Tickets are available at a subsidised cost of £3.00 per person.

PODS will provide 1 tea/coffee/soft drink to each person booked, however you will have to purchase your own other refreshments if required. Places are limited and booking is essential, open to all PODS members living in Telford and Wrekin. Please note that the tickets are non-refundable.

Children, of any age, are welcome however if they are under 2 years old, no ticket is required. We will be meeting at the entrance at 10am, please let us know if you will be late or can no longer make it so as the group can enter on time.

Betty the Covid-19 Vaccination Bus

Betty is being used to ensure that everyone who wants or needs to can get a COVID-19 booster vaccination easily and comfortably.

First Boosters and Autumn Boosters are available, and Betty can vaccinate anyone over the age of 12 that is eligible. There is no need for an appointment.

Newport Library

Newport library are starting a new weekly warm space meetup every Friday 12-3pm. Visit for a chat, tea/coffee and to take part in a shared activity. It’s free and all are welcome.
