Cheneler Ballet

Established in 2008 the “Cheneler School of Dance” participates in Cecchetti Ballet, Modern Theatre, Jazz, Tap, Street and Contemporary from age 18 months to adults. Pupils take part in ISTD examinations in Cecchetti Ballet, Modern Theatre and Tap, with 100% pass rate, as well as enjoying great success in competitions and performances throughout the area, including bi-annual productions at The Hawth and performances in the West End at Her Majesty’s Theatre and Sadler’s Wells. We take great pride in teaching our pupils a strong technique through all disciplines of dance as well as focusing on performance and style. We are also proud to offer pupils a safe and professional training, within a friendly atmosphere, welcoming a range of abilities to enjoy dance for either recreation or vocational purposes. Students from the “Cheneler School of Dance” have made a great impression on the dance circuit, by successfully auditioning to become Cecchetti Scholars and Associates as well as performing with the English Youth Ballet and London’s Children’s Ballet.

We are a friendly, family based school and welcome everyone!  We currently have the following classes available in Horley on Wednesdays:

“Twinkle Toes” Toddler Ballet, 18 months-3 years, 4:00-4:30pm / Primary Ballet, 3 - 6 years, 4:30-5:00pm

Clean for the Queen 2016 ...Horley Update

We are pleased to report that as part of "Clean for the Queen" initiative in Horley, 9 volunteers (including Town and Borough councillors) took part on 4th March, by completely filling 11 large sacks with litter and even a battered TV! They de-littered the northern end of Court Lodge Playing Fields as well as a long stretch of the bank of the River Mole.  Much of the litter included cans left from Riverside picnics and parties which had been tossed in the long grass and nettles during the summer months and then subjected to winter conditions.  Well done to everyone who took part!
