A New Era for Private Practice Hub

Hello

First off, it’s an incredible privilege to be the new CEO for PPH and to be given the opportunity to help you all run successful private practices.

My name is Dr Adam Read, the founder of WeCudos. I trained as a surgical doctor in the NHS for 8 years until a chronic nerve injury stopped me in my tracks a few years ago. Much to my surprise, it was the non-conventional, complementary and alternative treatments that helped me get my life back on track, not the medications prescribed to me. It took me over 3 years to discover the right treatment options and health practitioners that could support me along my journey with chronic nerve pain. That inspired me to embark on a personal mission to help complementary and alternative practitioners and their treatment options to become taken seriously, and has led me up to this point.

The modern healthcare system is broken and, with your help and support, I am here and dedicated to putting that right. This is not a hobby or side project for me. This is my life and I am thrilled to take PPH to the next level over the coming months-years.

Now, values for me are very important and at WeCudos, we put patients and health professionals at the centre of everything we do, with a shared mission to make healthcare 100% data-driven and evidence-based.

Being a health professional myself, my job at PPH is simple: to put our practitioners first and support every health practitioner on their journey to successfully managing as many patients as possible.

I know how stressful the last few months have been as the pandemic has placed a huge amount of strain and uncertainty on you all returning to work safely. Stay tuned, because we have a lot of relevant practical advice and human interest stories in the works which we hope will help you to return to work safely during this pandemic.

We will continue to lead the same dedicated team that you are used to working with at Private Practice Hub and we wish Geoff Simons well as he spends more of his time doing the things he loves from cultivating his meadow to nurturing hedgehogs at the local wildlife sanctuary. We all want to thank Geoff for the great work he has done so far and we will be in regular contact with him as we progress on this exciting new chapter for PPH.

On a final note, I look forward to getting to know you all better over the coming months and can’t wait to share with you the exciting future of PPH.

How Brightstone Clinic helped me build my private practice by Laura Stelfox

"I qualified as a Person-Centred Counsellor in 2011 with a view to specialising in anxiety and depression. However, I was very aware that there were many therapists locally specialising in working with these issues. The question of how to find clients was on my mind as I entered this new world. Finding and being a part of Brightstone Clinic helped me build my practice in many ways, with marketing support, networking opportunities and an exceptional internal referral process. The management team were so supportive and helped every step of the way. What’s more, the building is beautiful. The rooms are tastefully decorated and appropriate for all types of therapy. I would highly recommend Brightstone Clinic to any therapist seeking a great place to work from in the Cheshire or surrounding areas".
