Good evening,

I don't want to say it too loudly, but I think we can finally say that summer's here! The weather is absolutely fantastic and I hope that you are all getting time to get some R&R in the sunshine. Whilst it's good to be in holiday mode, it's also good to stay focused on your practice during the summer months.

You may find that things are quieter now as your clients are away or looking after children in the school holidays, so it's the perfect time to spend your day doing all the things you don't normally get time to do such as marketing, accounts or general admin.

Holiday reading
Your first stop should be to read some great new blogs just published on our website. The first one is ideal if you're just starting your practice - it's 7 quick tips on what to prioritise when starting up. It's written by Sophie Wood, from Buzz Web Design and Consultancy. She works with therapists on all things digital. If you missed the webinar she did with us on GDPR, you should have a listen now. The second is How APPy are you? Adam May takes a look at how apps and technology can be implemented into your practice to make you more efficient. But that you should also remember that old skool methods can sometimes work the best.

There are lots of others to read too, so spend some time having a relaxing read, whilst also helping your business.

Summer writing instead?
When I have a newsletter or blog to write, I do find that working outside or finding a coffee shop (with air con in this weather!) can be a great way to encourage some creative inspiration. We're looking to develop the blog on our sister site, UK Therapy Hub by asking therapists to write content that will appeal to clients looking for a therapist. Not only will you be helping potential clients, you'll also be doing some fantastic advertising for your own practice, so please consider writing a guest blog for us this summer!

We're always happy to receive content for Private Practice Hub too, so if you have something to say about the business of therapy, please do write a blog about it.

If you'd like to talk through some ideas or you want to send us a blog, please contact Sue Richardson, our Content Manager: content@privatepracticehub.co.uk.

Summer offer from me
I honestly think the weather is having an impact on my mood as I'm really delighted to offer this great opportunity to access standardised assessments and interventions that meet the needs of professionals working with children and adults in allied health, psychology, SEN and educational settings. Pearson Clinical Assessment can provide you with all of your standardised assessment needs. Find out more about how they can help you and your practice by visiting their website

Eradicate paperwork from your practice
WriteUpp’s GDPR-ready cloud-based practice management system is a fantastic time-saver and a great tool if you’re looking to eradicate paperwork from your practice in the post GDPR-era. For those who are not tech savvy their support is famously friendly and their loyal (and vocal) users provide a great insight into what it’s really like using their system via their Facebook Reviews. We need YOU!
We love having all of you here at Private Practice Hub but we want to make things even better and that's where you come in. If you have any ideas or thoughts on how we can make Private Practice Hub even better than it is now, we'd love to hear from you. Just reply to this email and we'll do our very best to incorporate your ideas and to keep on developing Private Practice Hub.

We started our new
Ask The Expert webinars this year, which have been really popular and we've focused more on guest blogs based around the business of therapy, but you can make a difference as a user by telling us what you want to see on the site.

This newsletter may be a little shorter than you're used to, but it is officially summer after all!

Have a great summer and see you all in September, fresh from your holidays and ready to start working on your business again.

Kind regards,
Geoff Simons
