Weekly Update from Jayne Stevens (Participation Co-ordinator)...

WOW - what a week that was and still it's too hot (for me anyway!)... Most of the week has been spent in planning and behind the scenes stuff culminating in our Question Time Event on Wednesday with 12 professionals from LA (Education and Social Care) and Health partners answering your direct questions - all this will be written up in due course and shared with you. Thank you again to all my reps who helped out on the day, for wider staff and team members too.

Remainder of the week has been spent with our Admaston Family Group where we welcomed our local commissioner for the BeeU (CAMHS) service to talk to families about what is needed from the service - were you there? what do you think? Further comments are also welcomed and feed into wider discussions that we are having on a weekly basis! On Friday we attended the NASEN Live (National Assciation of Special Educational Needs) and spoke with a local link for the SEND Education consortiu - see further down our facebook page for more information. I also want to say that if I haven't replied to your inbox message in full, I will do over the next day or so.

I'd also like to add a good luck message for any families who have a child transitioning into Secondary School today or this week. Hope that transition plans have gone well and you have been supported to do this through communication links between schools.

Today I am attending training with Autism Education Trust alongsdie LA and Health colleagues and then tomorrow it's our planning day with Participation Steering Group and team of reps, with an update from CVS CEO about IASS Service.

Have a good week everyone and if you have any 'stay cool' tips please share them.

Come and join us at our Family Groups...
