Weekly Update from Jayne Stevens (Participation Co-ordinator)...

Hello everyone :) It's a bit hot here - and can't see it getting any cooler!! I'm hoping that there's air conditioning at the Question Time/AGM on Wednesday or else I'll be melting! Who's coming and have you got your ticket yet. Promising to be a great day with a Question Time Panel of members from Education, Health and Social Care and a great afternoon with Lego-based Therapy from Shana. Because we are sharing our 10 year anniversary there will also be a few special treats in store! I'm just in process of writing an Annual Report for sharing on Wednesday and we're also actively recruiting new trustees. We've had a press release written so that should be appearing in local press today :)

It's been a week of report writing and behind the scenes stuff - been working on our Summer Newsletter too and also getting our Annual Survey ready that will help to focus our work over the next 12 months to what is really important to our families.

We've also had an 'events' meeting and planned activities for over the summer - least of all our Picnic in the Park on 6th August - it's going to be awesome! Fundraising teams have events planned too so keep an eye out on our main page for details and bookings - they have been busy over this last weekend with events at Dawley and Hollinswood too and thank you for all the work they do.

On the subject of meetings - we've had a trustee meeting and an Ops meeting this week - setting the strategic direction and getting 'stuff' done is important but needs to be done in line with our charity processes. I finished the week off with a meeting with SEND Leads in Birmingham - sharing good practice of co-production and involvement in service development across the Midlands area.

I will look forward to seeing you at Family Group today or at the Question Time Panel (& AGM) on Wednesday).

Best Wishes from Jayne Stevens (Participation Co-ordinator).
