This analysis compares levels of happiness and psychological difficulties between children with and without special educational needs (SEN) 2012 to 2013. The report from the Department for Education compares Understanding Society survey data with the national pupil database to examine levels of children’s wellbeing.

Research on how mainstream schools and colleges provide special educational needs (SEN) support. This research from the Department of Education includes a rapid evidence assessment on the effectiveness of current SEN support methods, a survey of education professionals, looking at the ways they identify and support children and young people classified as in need of SEN support and a selection of case studies.

Stourbridge House – A new Children’s and Young Adults’ Short Breaks Services in Wolverhampton

Stourbridge House are hosting an ‘Afternoon of Fun’ on 31st August as part of the local consultation for their new service. The family fun day will be held at the Mercure Wolverhampton Goldthorn Hotel between 2:30pm - 6:30pm. It’s sure to be a great day with lots of exciting activities and a goody bag for your children. WATCh Project

Shropshire Wheelchair and Mobility Services are taking part in a new piece of research, called the WATCh project. Researchers from Bangor University want to understand what young wheelchair users hope to achieve when they receive a new wheelchair. The evidence from this research project may help to improve future NHS wheelchair services in the UK.
