School Absence and Exclusions Consultation and Survey

Department for Education are seeking views on revisions they are proposing to make to the statutory guidance on the exclusion of pupils. They have made changes in a small number of areas to make the rules that apply to exclusions and the process of review clearer.  The closing date for this is 25th April 2017.  Please click the link below for more information:

Information Event - The Children's Society (part of new Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service)

Tuesday 11th April 10am-2pm at Meeting Point House - Telford Town Centre.

The Children's Society are a key partner of the new Emotional Health and Wellbeing Service. I have just been speaking to Leroy who is leading on this element of the work and he is inviting young people and families to this event on Tuesday to dicuss the new service and how it has been working in other areas (Birmigham and Sandwell) and how it may work in Telford (and Shropshire). We are aware that it is in the holidays and this is to ensure it is accessible to children/young people alongside their wider families.
