Further debate in the House of Lords on Select Committee enquiry - Equality Act & Disability

There was a further debate in the House of Lords on the Select Committee enquiry - Equality Act and Disability on 6th September 2016.

This followed the Government response to the Select Committee Report on the Equality Act 2010: The impact on disabled people, published in July 2016.

Trailblazers launch new report on spectator sports

Trailblazers has launched a report into the accessibility of spectator sports.

The 'Move the Goal Posts' report highlights the inferior experience that many young disabled people face when attending sports venues.

Vacancy: LPF Development Officer

Level Playing Field is seeking to appoint a full time Development Officer to join the Access and Development Team.

This dedicated role will include the delivery of LPF’s disability equality training, helping with day to day enquiries from sports clubs and disabled fans and supporting the LPF Access Auditors and Project Officer. The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will work closely with the wider LPF team.

Notts County and Chesterfield open sensory rooms for autistic fans

Notts County and Chesterfield have become the latest clubs to provide sensory facilities for autistic fans.

Notts County have converted 4 executive suites into 3 sensory rooms at Meadow Lane, whilst Chesterfield are inviting autistic fans to attend their next home fixture in a 'pop-up' sensory room which will allow autistic fans of both clubs to enjoy their matchday experience in a relaxing and comfortable atmosphere.

Working Together - Agenda confirmed for 2nd South Coast Regional Forum

We are delighted to confirm the agenda of the 2nd South Coast Regional Forum which is being organised by Crawley Town Disabled Supporters Association (DSA) with support from Level Playing Field.

The forum will be taking place at Crawley’s Checkatrade Stadium from 1pm and 4pm on Thursday 15th September 2016.
