PODS Mental Health Drop In

Come and join us for our Mental Health Drop In in a safe and non-judgemental environment. We will have tea, coffee, biscuits, cakes, a listening ear ready for you.

PODS VE Day Celebrations

PODS is organising different events to mark the occasion of 80 years of VE Day.

All sessions will be held at PODS Hub and members are welcome to book themselves and/or their children onto the sessions.

PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) Workshop for Parent Carers - *Spaces Still Available for Online Session*

Tuesday 13th May 2025 - Daytime In-Person from 12.30pm - 2.30pm at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU & Evening Online from 6pm-8pm

This workshop is for parents and carers of PDA children (whether formally diagnosed, self-identified, or exploring the profile).

During the workshop we will discuss what PDA is, what are typically considered as ‘demands’, it’s impact on school, siblings, and exploring strategies.

PODS Mental Health Drop In for Mental Health Awareness Week 2025

Wednesday 14th May 2025 from 1pm-2.15pm at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF1 6XT

Mental Health Awareness Week is from 12th-16th May, this year the theme is Community.

Why not come and have a cuppa with your community at PODS this Mental Health Awareness Week in a safe and non-judgemental environment.

PODS Pre-School Sensory Sessions

Join our warm welcoming staff for our preschool sensory sessions on a Thursday morning 10.30am-11.30am during term-time.

The sessions are held at PODS Hub, this session is for children from 0-5. Please only take photos of your own children.

PODS Minecraft Club

Held on Tuesday's, Term Time only, from 4pm-5pm at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU

A chance to come together and enjoy a session of Minecraft. Please note Minecraft will be accessed via PODS iPads which are linked to one another to allow multiplayer options. Children will not be able to access their own Minecraft accounts for safety reasons. 
Sessions open to children and young people of all ages who are members of PODS including their siblings.

Drinks and biscuits provided. Session costs are non-refundable, parent/carer/PA must remain on site for the duration of the session. Please ensure every Child/young person attending has a ticket, those attending without a ticket will be turned away. Adult tickets are NOT required.

Track Adaptive Bike Session

First Saturday of the month, Oakengates Leisure Centre

Saturday Adaptive Bike sessions will be running at Oakengates Leisure Centre as part of their inclusive Leisure offer at the running track. We will have a range of adaptive bikes to cater for a mixture of abilities; from side-by-side tandems to carer-controlled trikes and even a wheelchair loader!

Our instructors will be there to help set up the bikes and help with any issues regarding the bikes. Please note participants will need to bring the level of support they require. This is not a drop off session.

The track has a fence surrounding the perimeter with a single gate for access.

PODS Picnic in the Park - **Please Note Later Date**

Monday 18th August from 10am-4pm at Charlton School, Apley Avenue, Wellington, Telford, TF1 3FA

Come along and join in the fun at our annual Picnic in the Park.

We will have lots of fun activities and workshops available on the day.

Nurture & Grow

Care in the Community by the Community

Nurture and Grow provides specialist PA support for children and young people aged 0-25 with disabilities and additional needs.

We are now accepting applications for support from individuals who are self funding or using direct payments.

Nurture & Grow Personal Support Application

Fully trained support workers providing 1:1 and 2:1 care.

Blossom & Bloom Stay and Play Session

Blossom & Bloom is a stay and play session for infants and pre-schoolers aged 0-5. There will be fun activities every week, come for a coffee, meet other parents in our welcome and inclusive environment. 

This will be open to all children prior and post diagnosis, this group every Tuesday term-time only it will run 10-11.30 at PODS hub for any extra information contact Louise@podstelford.org
