Monday 23rd September 2024 at 11am-1pm at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU 

A chance to put the world to rights over cake and coffee!  Join us at the MenSpace group. A group dedicated to male carers.

These groups are guided by you, you can talk about whatever you want, and give us all chance to help each other out. You will also be able to influence how these groups run in the future by feeding back what you want from the group and how we can achieve this.

PODS Sleep Course

Are you having trouble getting your child/young person to sleep at night? 

From Thursday 3rd October we will be running our 3 week Sleep Tight Course.

The course will cover; The importance of sleep, Causes of sleep issues, sleep physiology, good sleep practice and strategies.

Sessions will last 1.5 hours and run weekly at 10am on Thursday’s at the PODS Hub. Parent/carers must attend all 3 sessions in order to successfully complete the course. Places are limited and will be offered on a first come first served basis.

PODS Mental Health Drop In

Tuesday 17th September 2024 from 1pm-2.30pm at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU

Come and join us for our Mental Health Drop In in a safe and non-judgemental environment. We will have tea, coffee, biscuits, cakes, a listening ear ready for you. 

Whether you would like to off load, have a warm cuppa, or just want someone to talk too. We are here for you.

PODS Social Support Group - Tile Decoration Workshop

Thursday 19th September 2024 from 10am-12pm at Jackfield Tile Museum, Telford, TF8 7LJ

Join us for a Tile Decoration Workshop in the Jackfield Tile Museum.

The workshop is heavily subsidised by PODS. Places are limited and need to be booked. Tickets are non-refundable. 

Tickets cost £6 per person. Meet at the Car Park for 10am.

PODS Stop Motion Club   

Monday 23rd September 2024 from 4.30pm-5.30pm at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU

PODS Stop Motion Video Club continues. The children/young people will be provided with Lego and Ipads to help make the stop motion videos.

Wills and Trusts Workshop

Thursday 26th September 2024 from 10am-11.30am at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU

Fodens Solicitors, Sophie Price and Louise Howard will be visiting the PODS Hub on the Thursday 26th September, hosting an informative day for local families. They will spend the morning presenting to families about the importance of Wills, and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Throughout the afternoon they will host 1-2-1 sessions, these can be booked through the Ticket Source links.

Group Session

1-1 Sessions

PODS Social Support Group at Admaston House

Monday 7th October 2024 from 10am-11.30am at Admaston House Community Centre, Telford, TF5 0BN

Join us at our friendly family group, a chance to catch up on updates, discuss services and access non-judgemental peer support with fellow parent carers. 

Any family members welcome to join us and we'll supply the refreshments and treats too (donations welcome).

On 7th October 2024, in this Group, we have Emma Cowen, Health Promotion Outreach Officer at T&W joining us to do individual BP checks and signpost for support if BP is high. In the latter half of the session on 7th Oct 2024, we will be joined by Gurmat from AG & Co Health, who specialises in assessment, diagnosis and treatment of children and adults with ADHD.

Blossom & Bloom Stay and Play Session

This group will begin 17th September, Blossom & Bloom is a stay and play session for infants and pre-schoolers aged 0-5. There will be fun activities every week, come for a coffee, meet other parents in our welcome and inclusive environment. 

This will be open to all children prior and post diagnosis, this group every Tuesday term-time only it will run 10-11.30 at PODS hub for any extra information contact Louise@podstelford.org 

PODS Minecraft Club - with a New Gaming Set Up!

Tuesday 17th September 2024 from 4pm-5pm at PODS Hub, 1 Hawksworth Road, Central Park, Telford, TF2 9TU

A chance to come together and enjoy a session of Minecraft, now with an exciting new gaming set up as well as the iPads! Please note Minecraft will be accessed via PODS iPads which are linked to one another to allow multiplayer options. Children will not be able to access their own Minecraft accounts for safety reasons. 

Sessions open to children and young people of all ages who are members of PODS including their siblings.

Drinks and biscuits provided. Session costs are non-refundable, parent/carer/PA must remain on site for the duration of the session. Please ensure every Child/young person attending has a ticket, those attending without a ticket will be turned away. Adult tickets are NOT required.

PODS Social Support Group at Blists Hill

Friday 27th September 2024 from 10am-12pm at Blists Hill Victorian Town, Telford, TF7 5UD

Come and join us at PODS Family Group in Blists Hill Victorian Town for a chat, relax and meet with friendly faces. Ask us for some advice or just enjoy a walk around the village. Tickets are available at a subsidised cost of £3 per person.

Tickets are non-refundable. PODS will provide 1 tea/coffee/soft drink to each person booked, however you will have to purchase your own other refreshments if required. Places are limited and booking is essential, open to all PODS members living in Telford and Wrekin.

Please note that the tickets are non-refundable. Children, of any age, are welcome however if they are under 2 years old, no ticket is required. We will be meeting at the entrance at 10am, please let us know if you will be late or can no longer make it so as the group can enter on time.

Nurture & Grow

Care in the Community by the Community

Nurture and Grow provides specialist PA support for children and young people aged 0-25 with disabilities and additional needs.

We are now accepting applications for support from individuals who are self funding or using direct payments.
