Disabled Children’s Partnership - Childcare Survey

Sharing from the Disabled Children’s Partnership...

"The Disabled Children’s Partnership want to understand more about access to childcare for disabled children and their families across England.

Parents tell us about challenges they face to find childcare that meets their disabled child’s needs in a location or at a time convenient for them. Childcare provision may include formal childcare at a local school, private day nursery or be provided by a local childminder.

This survey will help us find out the current issues affecting disabled children and their families who need child care. The findings will be used to campaign and engage with policymakers and to bring about change for disabled children and their families. The survey will take no more than around 10 minutes to complete."

Press Release: Residents urged to ‘Think Pharmacy First’ as new improved service launches across the county 15.2.2024

Extract:...

"Health chiefs at NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin are urging residents to ‘Think Pharmacy First’ to access appropriate treatment and advice for common illnesses, as a brand-new pharmacy service launches across the county.

All community pharmacies across Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin have signed up to the Pharmacy First scheme which, where appropriate, will enable pharmacists to supply prescription-only medicines to treat seven common conditions without needing to see a GP.

The seven common health conditions, which will now be supported by trained pharmacy teams and part of the Pharmacy First offer, include sinusitis, sore throat, earache, infected insect bites, impetigo, shingles, and uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women.

The Pharmacy First service is part of a local improvement plan to enhance patient access to NHS services, predominately in Pharmacy and General Practice."
