Hospital Transformation Programme Focus Groups

Sharing from The Shrewsbury & Telford Hospital NHS Trust...

"Plans to transform our hospital services in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and mid Wales are underway. We want you, our local communities and patients, to have the opportunity to get involved and give your views and feedback to help inform and shape our plans to improve care for everyone.

The plans will see the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford specialise in planned care and the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital specialise in emergency care. Patients benefit from:

  • fewer cancellations and delays for planned procedures,
  • and a more streamlined and effective emergency care service, with fewer ambulance handover delays, delivered from a dedicated, modern Emergency Department.

We are organising focus groups which will meet regularly over the next three years as plans develop. The focus groups are aligned to the clinical workstreams within the HTP programme:

  • Medicine, emergency, surgery, anaesthetics, and cancer focus group
  • Clinical Support Services
  • Women’s and Children’s

If you would like to join any of these focus groups, please email sath.engagement@nhs.net with your name, contact email and the focus group(s) you would like to attend. Joining instructions will be sent out in advance of the meetings."

Upcoming dates for the focus groups can be found here: Hospital Transformation Programme Focus Groups
