https://ofsted.smartsurvey.co.uk/p/AreaSend/10260479

This link will also include a survey for Children and Young People (11-25years) that you are also encouraged to complete please.

Message shared via Local Offer and SEND Newsletters is below:

"We have had the OFSTED and Care Quality Commission (CQC) call and they will be visiting our area to inspect the local arrangements for children and young people with special education needs and disabilities (SEND) between 16 – 24 March 2023.

This joint inspection will consider education and care council services, schools, early years providers, post 16 settings and health providers. Over the next week we will send regular updates so that you are aware of what is happening, what role you may play and how you can get involved.

Our initial ask is that help us distribute the following survey link to young people, families and practitioners, using as many means as possible. We really want to maximise the amount of responses we get so that OFSTED/CQC hear from as many people as possible across Telford & Wrekin. These surveys will allow inspectors to consider the views of children and young people, parents and carers and practitioners"

The surveys are open from 6 March 2023 (now!) to 9am on 14 March 2023

For any queries or questions about this process please contact Jayne Stevens, our Strategic Co-ordinator. 0777 534 2092 or jayne@podstelford.org

Update from Jayne, Strategic Co-ordinator

Morning all.

As you might have seen from articles and notices, OFSTED/CQC are gathering information and experiences from parent carers, children and young people (and practitioners and professionals) as part of the inspection of the SEND System. The questionnaires ask about experiences around education, health and social care, also transition arrangements and independence. All of the surveys are available via this link. The parent carer forum is due to meet with inspectors on Thursday, and we have shared information of other parent groups they will hopefully be talking to.

This week, I'm just heading off the Bridge School for a coffee morning, we're designing a new leaflet this afternoon with the team, and then tomorrow it's workshop day for 'Social Stories' so really looking forward to working with the Educational Psychologist team on this one, Wednesday we are hosting the council's Short Breaks Forum at the Hub, everyone is welcome, who accesses social care or if you want to know what is available in the local area, or have a chat about what is coming up and the plans. The Short Breaks statement has been signed off now and we hope that will be a key discussion point!

Best Regards
Jayne
