CAFE official charity of UEFA Super Cup charity ticket auction

UEFA Super Cup logoUEFA recently launched a charity ticket sale auction for the 2013 UEFA Super Cup.

The ticket auction proved popular with football fans with more than €10,000 raised in support of the European wide charity, the Centre for Access to Football in Europe (CAFE).

Joyce Cook, CAFE Managing Director said 'We are delighted by this great news and send our warm thanks to everyone at UEFA who helped to make this possible. The funds raised will be used to further support our projects across Europe. UEFA has honoured disabled fans and CAFE by once again shining a spot light on our works to ensure an inclusive match day for all. Together we can help to improve the lives of many disabled people around Europe through football and its fans. Once again, a huge thank you to UEFA.'

The information can be downloaded in both German and English, and further advice on accessible attractions and getting around in Prague is available.

FARE announces Action Weeks - Football People 2013

FARE Network logoThe FARE Network will be holding their annual Action Weeks campaign from 15-29 October 2013. As part of that, they invite groups from across Europe to submit proposals for activities to mark the campaign.

We think that this would be a fantastic opportunity for disabled fans across Europe to promote the message of Total Football, Total Access, and would urge supporters to consider making an application.

Disabled fans enjoy UEFA Women's EURO 2013

Disabled supporter with Steffi JonesDisabled supporters enjoyed attending matches at UEFA Women’s EURO 2013, which took place from 10-28 July 2013 in Sweden.

Tournament ambassadors Steffi Jones and Patrik Andersson also took time out to meet with disabled supporters in the Fan Zone areas.

CAFE exhibition presented in Poland

Disabled Polish supporterA series of exhibition slides introducing CAFE and our works have been installed outside the National Stadium (Stadion Narodowy) in Warsaw, Poland.

FC Chernomorets meets with disabled fans

Chernomorets disabled fansUkrainian club Chernomorets recently met with a number of their disabled supporters in Odessa.

Sergey Kernitskiy, the General Director of the club, thanked the fans for their support and spoke of ways that the club and fans could work together in the future.

Disabled fans stories and stadium comments

Disabled fans comments on a stadium that they have visited can be really useful for other supporters. The CAFE website allows for fans to send their feedback, both positive and negative, as well as any photos of stadiums that they have been to.

It is easy to leave your comments and feedback for stadiums that you have visited.

Could you be a CAFE roving reporter?

Do you regularly attend football matches either as or with a disabled supporter?

We are looking to add to our group of roving reporters, publishing your accounts of attending football matches across Europe. It isn't a huge commitment, and your reports could prove to be really helpful for other disabled supporters who will be attending those stadiums in the future.
