2013 AGM

LPF TrusteesOn 16th May 2013, Level Playing Field held its 15th Annual General Meeting at the House of Lords. Opened by LPF Vice President Lord Rosser the AGM was a resounding success and received a lot of positive feedback.

A packed room played host to an afternoon full of interesting discussion. The previous year’s reports and accounts were circulated to those present.

The undoubted highlight of the AGM was Keith Marson, the DLO, from Derby County receiving his LPF award from LPF Vice President Andrew Shaw and LPF Ambassador June Wratten for his outstanding contribution to disabled supporters over the years. June played tribute to Keith’s continued hard work at Derby County on behalf of LPF and disabled supporters across the country.

Following their re election at the AGM, Joyce Cook, OBE and Gary Deards were re-appointed as Chair and Vice Chair of Level Playing Field respectively. Keith Graham, Kush Kanodia, Christine Peacock MBE, Rosie Perkins, and Nick Saunders were elected to the board of Trustees as executive trustees. The AGM was closed by Vice President Lord Faulkner who spoke about the challenges faced and importance of LPF's ongoing work. To read the 2012/13 Annual Report click here.

Weeks of Action 2013

Birmingham City player with LPF t shirtThe 2013 Weeks of Action were once again very successful with a wide range of governing bodies, clubs and DSAs getting involved from all sports at all levels organising activities and initiatives that have really shown their commitment for their disabled supporters in addition to showcasing their disability football teams. Over twenty five clubs and DSA’s were involved and held events. Several of the clubs involved in the ‘Working Together’ project got involved to demonstrate the work of their DSA’s.

Yet again many supporters of LPF have come out and shown their commitment from previous LPF award winners to professionals connected to football and other sports.
