LPF AGM 2012 Reminder

LPF logoLevel Playing Field is pleased to announce that this year’s AGM will take place at the Palace of Westminster in the House of Lords in committee room 4 on the 30th May from 3.00pm to 5.00pm. We will confirm final details with all attendees early this week.

Standing for Election as LPF Trustees:
Level Playing Field is delighted to announce that six nominees will stand for election at the AGM on 30th May at the House of Lords.  The six candidates have been approved by the Nominations Committee and are standing for five Executive Trustee positions, each with a one year term.
The Nominees are:
• Rex Burton
• Keith Graham
• Kush Kanodia
• Christine Peacock
• Michael Rice
• Alan Turvey

Biographies of the Nominees can be found by visiting the website. If you are a full member but cannot attend the AGM you can still register your vote with us.  To do so please return the proxy form that can be found on our website using the above link no later than 5pm on 23rd May 2012.

 Challenge 200 Update June 2011-April 2012

Paul Smith on the roadChallenge 200 had raised  nearly £14,000 and was doubled by a kind and generous benefactor so the new total will be an amazing £28,000.

Arsenal fan, Paul Smith already has another challenge in his mind; he will take on another challenge in April 2013. This challenge will see Paul and the crew go from Plymouth in Devon to London and the charity Paul will be supporting will once again be Save the Children.

Future England Players wanted

FA logoThe FA is looking for talented disabled football players.Talent ID days are being held across the country to identify the potential England stars of the future. Huntingdonshire FA and Cambridgeshire FA are hosting an event on Sunday May 27th, 10am-1pm, at the St Ives One Leisure Outdoor Centre and are inviting talented players aged 11 to 16 to register. Proud Rhinos to celebrate sporting equality

World Club champions Leeds Rhinos are dedicating their Stobart Super League Round 24 fixture against Widnes Vikings on Friday August 10 to celebrating lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender equality.
The club are inviting fans to join them in their celebrations by designing a special commemorative shirt which will be worn by the Leeds players during their pre-match warm-up and also made available to purchase through the official club shop.

Chester FC Disabled Supporters Association Update

View for Wheelchair users at Chester FC's groundAt a recent meeting of Chester FC’s disabled supporters it was voted unanimously that the Disabled Blues should be renamed the Inclusive Blues. It was felt that the new identity better reflects the aim of the group which is to offer disabled people inclusion in all matters relating to the football club.
