Western European Development Officer

CAFE continues to expand its work across Europe. We’re pleased to announce Keith Ferguson, in his new role as the Western European Development Officer. Some of you will know Keith already following a successful first year in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Republic of  Ireland, supporting disabled fans in setting up their own groups and promoting improved access, Keith would now like to hear from fans in Belgium, France and the Netherlands who would like to get involved in creating positive change. 'The aim of the accessible version of UEFA.com is to allow users with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive impairments easier navigation and consumption of content on the official website for European football. The site has been launched in seven languages – English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Russian – and offers the latest news and results across Europe, both domestically and in UEFA club competitions. CAFE took part in the all-Ukrainian forum for disabled youth in Kiev

Participants of all Ukraine forum for young disabled people.On 14-17th of December, CAFE’s partner, National Assembly of Disabled People in Ukraine – held a 4 day forum for disabled young people. Elena Karpukhina, CAFE’s Eastern European Development Officer, was invited to give a presentation about CAFE and its activities. It was a fantastic opportunity to speak in front of such an audience – more than 150 young, other active and enthusiastic disabled people. With their help CAFE hopes to expand its presence in the Ukraine and get more people involved in CAFE’s activities on voluntary basis. To read more, please follow this link.

NEVER AGAIN is the winner of EFSA's 2010 Edition

Logo of 'Never Again' Association from PolandEFSA (European Football Supporters Award) is the European project that awards a group of supporters or an association that shows a positive attitude in sport especially in football. This Award takes place every year. For the current year, (the 6th edition), EFSA’s Jury has selected the Polish association « NEVER AGAIN » which has had a amazing battle against racism and xenophobia for the past 15 years. 1. Jerusalem United. 160 Jewish and Arab children from neighbourhoods throughout Jerusalem took part in a unique football tournament called "Football for All" to mark the end of International Human Rights Week on December 18. The tournament was organized by Hapoel Katamon Jerusalem, one of three professional teams in Israel set up by fans, and supported and funded by New Israel Fund's Kick Racism Out of Israeli Football campaign.To read more about the tournament, please follow this link.
