David Bernstein appointed as a new Chairman of The FA

Mr David BerneteinCAFE is delighted to announced that David Bernstein, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Trustees of CAFE, has today been nominated to be the new Chairman of The Football Association (in England). CAFE would like to offer its heartfelt congratulations to David. 

Joyce Cook, CAFE's Managing Director said 'Everyone at CAFE is delighted by this great news. David is a tremendous Chairman to Centre for Access to Football in Europe. His friendship and dedication to our works have been unwavering. We are all very proud today and wish David every success in his new role as Chairman of the FA.'

  

FAI establishes an Inclusive Supporters Club (FAIISC)

Member of a new FAIISC The Football Association of Ireland, through their Football For All programme has established a new supporters club in partnership with all disability governing bodies throughout the country. This new affiliate of the ‘Boys in Green’ aims to represent Irish supporters with disability views, issues and concerns within the Aviva stadium and the FAI. This new section is designed to be a living guide of Stadium Reports with useful access information especially for disabled fans and their family and friends who are planning to attend European Football Stadia.  1. AVILA, Spain wins the title: the most accessible city in Europe - The Spanish city of Avila was chosen by a jury panel, in cooperation with the Disability Movement, as Europe’s most accessible city. To read more about this award, please follow this link.

2. The 4th Equality Summit, hosted by the Belgian Presidency in Brussels on 15-16 November, took stock of the measures implemented under the Council Directive to promote non-discrimination in employment and heard the views of representatives of discriminated groups, employers, trade unions and equality bodies on their experiences in implementing the European legislation.
