Commission calls in evidence on disability-related harassment in Britain

The Equality and Human Rights Commission is investigating whether public bodies and public transport providers are fulfilling their legal obligations to prevent disabled people from being harassed. Councils, police forces, schools and other public bodies as well as bus, train companies and other public transport providers found to be failing in their duties could face enforcement action. Polish Disabled Supporters Club Silesia Wroclaw

You can read about report of a two-year activity of first Disabled Supporters Club in Poland - Klubu Kibiców Niepełnosprawnych (KKN). Currently around of 50 fans with various degrees of disability, half of which are the wheelchair users wants to see Silesia Wroclaw  FC matches. They estimate that the new stadium might easily be filled with around 100 disabled supporters.[+]

 

 Ukraine - without barriers

CAFE will contribute to the project "Ukraine - without barriers" initiated by the National Assembly of Disabled People in Ukraine.

This is an idea of creating a resource that will provide disabled people with information on accessible sites and public places. We’ll try now to make it a joint project together with Poland. Football project for dementia sufferers 

A new therapy which uses football to stimulate the minds of dementia sufferers could be extended abroad, after the success of a pilot project. Researchers at Glasgow Caledonian University said showing memorabilia to men with the condition stimulated their memories in a "remarkable" way.
