Weekly Update from Jayne Stevens (Participation Co-ordinator)...

Hiya - One of great things about holidays is less meetings to attend but it does mean I can get on with work at base, whilst juggling teenagers and being a taxi-service. So, this week I've been able to make a considered response to the Early Help Strategy, I've reviewed the Health Child Partnership 0-19yrs service tender questions - both to ensure there is an element of SEND in there and questions asked about how these strategies and services will work with wider teams (including health, social care and education). Third piece of focussed work has been collation of all the responses to IASS survey and these have now been shared with commissioners.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed and especially to my parent reps who have helped along the way. Talking of parent reps I have arranged for coaching sessions to take place for those who feel they will benefit and to demonstrate our support for those who volunteer with us, and this all continues to be funded through our BIG Lottery funds.

We held a very busy crafty session at the Hollinswood Group on Wednesday "More chairs please" was definitely the call out! We have continued to give out Ironbridge Gorge passes from our hub in Stepping Stones and these have proved really popular - if you have any photos we'd love to see them please?

Next week don't forget there's the Blue Planet trip on Wednesday 22nd and for everyone who has booked Swimming - have a great time at the events.

So it's the end of the week and very close to the last of the Telford 50 Big Top celebrations too! I'm finishing my week off with a trip to see Doreen's Naughty Bits tonight - could do with a giggle and it's our 'looking after ourselves' time . . . :) x
