Safe Standing in Football debated in the House of Commons
On Monday 25th June 2018 at 4.30pm Parliament debated “Safe Standing” in Football.

Chief Executive for Level Playing Field, Owain Davies said "Level Playing Field’s view towards safe standing remains unchanged in that any changes should firstly not have a detrimental effect to a disabled fans experience and any changes should be done with consultations from fans and organisations. A common theme experienced by disabled fans is poor sightlines and we certainly want to make sure that with the potential implementation of safe standing doesn’t further impact this.

John Flanner presented Pride of Aston Villa award
John Flanner has been an Aston Villa fan since 1956 and has been attending matches at Villa Park ever since. In 1967 at the age of 19 he was registered blind. He has corresponded with the club via letter and email regularly over the years with praise and, in his own words 'constructive criticism'.
