Danny Mills Fundraiser

On 18th April, Danny Mills will be completing the Brighton Marathon in a wheelchair, to raise money for both NADS and ASBAH.  To support Danny in what he is doing please make a donation by clicking here. And in addition to Danny's very welcome NADS/ASBAH fundraising initiative - one of our disabled supporters, Paul Smith is also busy with his own fundraiser event for another worthy cause, the Great Ormond Street Hospital. Three great charities (if we do say so ourselves) - good luck guys and thanks for all your efforts.

Paul is 51 years old, an Ex-Royal Naval serviceman, who on the 17th April 2010 will complete 51 laps - 20 miles of the Emirates Stadium, a monumental task for anyone!

 

NADS AGM and Trustees Nominations

NADS lends its support to DisabledGo’s mission and access appraisals  

We are delighted to announce that NADS will be sharing access information with an organisation called DisabledGo. DisabledGo is an award-winning disability organisation that has been in operation since 2000. They produce online access guides to a huge range of venues and currently profile over 100 sports grounds and stadiums, including the English and Scottish National Stadiums. London 2012 pledges more tickets for British fans and urges everyone to ‘sign up’ for ticketing information this year

The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) today announced more details of its ticketing plans and invited sports fans all over the country to ‘sign up’ and register their interest. By signing up to www.tickets.london2012.com, people will be able to indicate which sports they are interested in and receive updates on major sporting events, test events and London 2012 developments – plus they will be among the first to find out when tickets go on sale in 2011 and how to apply for them.  To read the full press release please click here.

Phil Clarke celebrates Never Watch Alone success 

Phil Clarke joined 80 people at the DW Stadium last night to celebrate the achievement made by the Never Watch Alone Initiative in Wigan over the last 12 months, and looks forward to another successful year in 2010.

The GB and Wigan Rugby legend is ambassador of the scheme which is in partnership with NADS and provides opportunities for people from the Wigan area with a learning disability to accompany a Warriors and Latics fans to games at the DW Stadium. To read more about the evening please click here.

South West Fans Forum - 26th February 2010

Our Game, Our Time!

The Football Supporters Europe have started a campaign called Our Game, Our Time! To read about the full campaign please click here.  For an idea of what it is about read the paragraph below.

Do you like football games on Mondays at 9pm or on Tuesdays at 5.30pm? Do you have to take one or even more days off work frequently to watch your beloved team?
