Upcoming Workshops & Panto Information...

CAMHS Workshop (0-25yrs) - Have your Say - Autism Spectrum Conditions, ADHD and other neurodevelopmental conditions on Thursday 25th January 2018

This workshop is open to parent carers and practitioners from a range of services who support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. It will provide an opportunity to hear about the work done to date, the challenges to be overcome and to jointly develop an effective service. As some of you may be aware the new 0-25years service is now called Bee-U and this will be discussed as part of workshop.

This workshop will cover Autistic Spectrum Conditions including ADHD and other neuro-developmental conditions and co-morbids. Another workshop for Learning Disability and and associated conditions is running in February and there is an eventbrite link for this too.

Workshop will run 9.30am (refreshments) and start at 10am and run till 2.30pm. Lunch will be available (please advise any dietary requirements). Agenda will follow. Parking is Free in main Theatre Car Park. Entrance to venue is via stairs or a lift is available. This event is jointly organised with PODS Parent/Carer Forum (for families with Disabled Children), Parent and Carer Council (Shropshire), Telford and Wrekin CCG and Shropshire CCG.

This workshop is open to parent carers and practitioners from a range of services who support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. It will provide an opportunity to hear about the work done to date, the challenges to be overcome and to jointly develop an effective service. As some of you may be aware the new 0-25years service is now called Bee-U and this will be discussed as part of workshop.

This workshop will cover Learning Disability Pathway - young people using this pathway will have a learning disability as their primary need, but may also have other associated conditions such as ASC, ADHD and medical needs. They may be referred to the service due to behaviour that challenges or other mental health issues

Wills and Trusts Workshop​ on Wednesday 10th January 2018

Planning for the Future – Wills and Trusts. Do you worry what will happen to your disabled or special needs child when you are no longer around to care for them?

This is a free workshop for parents organised via Contact, helping you to understand how you can use wills and trusts to safeguard the interests of your child.

Sir Alex Elphinston Bt, Senior Associate Solicitor, For Anthony Collins Solicitors LLP will lead an informative and interactive session.

Lunch will be available following the workshop - please advise dietary requirements.

Parent/Carer SEND Workshop on Wednesday 31st January 2018

The workshop is being held at Ramada Hotel, with 60 free places. This workshop will look at, SEN Support – what does it mean and how does it work? Initial support provided by settings and schools - what does this look like? The graduated approach and the cycles of assess - plan - do - review. The Local Offer – the Local Authority website showing you what support services are out there and how they can be used? ​Information for the Peter Pan Panto on Sunday 17th December 2017

For families attending the Peter Pan Panto on Sunday, we will be meeting at 10.30am so tickets can be allocated and everyone can be seated in time for the show to start at 11am.
